Golf and Recreation at Pine Mountain Club

By Tanner Brown, Your Local Mountain REALTOR® ·

When people visit Pine Mountain Club for the first time, they're usually surprised by how much there is to do. This isn't just a sleepy cabin community — there's a full slate of recreational amenities that come with your POA membership, and they're a huge part of what makes living here so enjoyable.

The Golf Course

The PMC golf course is a scenic 9-hole course that winds through the pines. It's not Augusta, and that's exactly the point. It's a relaxed, walkable course where you'll run into your neighbors and maybe spot a deer on the fairway. The rates are reasonable for POA members, and the pro shop has everything you need. Summer mornings on the course, with the mountain air and the views — it's hard to beat.

The Pool and Clubhouse

The pool area is the social hub during summer. Kids are splashing around, families are barbecuing, and it genuinely feels like a community gathering spot. The clubhouse hosts events throughout the year — holiday parties, community meetings, live music nights, and more. It's where you'll meet people and start feeling like you belong.

Equestrian Center

If you have horses — or want to be around them — PMC has a well-maintained equestrian center with boarding, arenas, and access to miles of riding trails through the surrounding forest. It's one of the amenities that sets Pine Mountain Club apart from other mountain communities in the area.

Trails and Hiking

There are hiking trails throughout PMC that range from easy strolls to more challenging routes with elevation gain. The Botanical Garden trail is a local favorite, and several paths connect different parts of the community. You don't need to drive anywhere to get a great hike in.

Winter Activities

  • Sledding hills within the community
  • Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on trails
  • Cozy clubhouse events during the winter season
  • Mt. Pinos snow play area is a short drive away

When I'm working with buyers who have families or are looking for an active lifestyle, I always highlight these amenities. Your POA dues give you access to all of it, and the sense of community around these shared spaces is really what makes PMC feel like home.
